Sybil: We went to see a preview of this show. I didn’t know the show beforehand – except for the ‘Oh My God, Oh My God You Guys’ song, which is incredibly catchy. I was expecting a show full of songs of this calibre. I didn’t feel like I got it.

I thought the cast, for the most part, were excellent. Special shout-outs to Erika Heynatz and the sorority girls. I was looking forward to Lucy Durack’s performance, having LOVED her as Glinda in Wicked. I don’t know if she was having an off-night, but I thought she was outshone by the rest of the cast.

Fun, shiny, but ultimately not fulfilling.

Lea: I love a fluffy musical as much as I love a deep play. So I was quietly looking forward to being swept away on a pink wave of legal blondeness (plus I’ve had a crush on Rob Mills since the first Australian Idol). The cast overall gave stellar performances, but Lucy Durack seemed to be ‘marking’ her performance. She received plenty of positive reviews on opening, but this preview fell flat because of her. Ouch.
