Lea: I know the director and one of the actors in this show. I could see what it was trying to do, but it just didn’t get there.

Sybil: Oh dear.

I really wanted to like it. I brought theatre friends from interstate to see this Sydney fringe show.

I found it terribly depressing – poor writing, underwhelming performances from actors who seemed not to understand the word ‘choice’. And I held out because I thought that there’d be a catharsis or a twist to make the pain worth it. There wasn’t. Just not my cup of tea. Perhaps I missed something – it did get some positive reviews.
